For 16, 000 children across the country, the world is their canvas, quite literally. As part of the Paint Your World campaign, they have been given the creative freedom to express their hopes and dreams on a blank globe.

The campaign, organised by Disney Channel as part of their on-air art and craft workshop, Art Attack is being taken across eight major cities in India. The individual works of the children in each city have been put together to form unique art installations and these are being unveiled in their respective cities.

“We want to encourage children to believe in themselves, follow their dreams and express themselves through as many creative forms as they can imagine,” says Srikanth Sarathy, Director, Marketing and Creative, Walt Disney Television International India.

Sarathy believes that every child can be an artist. The one-of-a-kind installations will showcase their creations in a unique way. The event, conceptualised by the show’s new host, Gaurav, will also mark the launch of a new season of Art Attack.

Sarathy is sure that there will be many thought-provoking messages on display in the city. Disney will also invite some of the participating children to explain what inspired them.

“Children can use this as a platform to deliver messages that they believe are important for us to notice as a community,” says Sarathy. “We believe that children are discerning with issues as well as creative expression.”
