Kim Kardashian, whose private life has become more of a public affair, has expressed a desire to be more discreet about herself.
The 31-year-old reality star told Cosmopolitan magazine how her massively public marriage breakup with basketball player Kris Humphries has showed her that some things are best left private.
"We [her family] know that we put ourselves in the public eye. We love doing our reality show and it’s opened doors for us to have clothing lines...and do things that we’ve always dreamed of," the Mirror quoted her as telling the publication.
"So it comes with the territory and we know that. But as I get older and go through certain things, it’s made me want to be more of a private person. I don’t think I would stop [doing the reality show] - I love doing it - but I wouldn’t have another relationship shown on the show. That might be too personal, especially when you’re just meeting someone. It’s taught me to be more private," she said.
Kardashian’s marriage to the basketball star lasted just 72 days. Their romance leading up to their split and including the wedding was all broadcast on her family’s reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The reality star also said that she no longer believes in finding ‘the one.’
"I think you have different soulmates throughout your life...I will always believe in love, but my idea has changed from what I’ve always thought...I don’t believe in just one soulmate now," she added.
