Come next year and Hrithik Roshan will undoubtedly be bigger in the overseas territory than he currently is, especially after the release of his forthcoming home production, Kites, helmed by Anurag Basu. And Brett Ratner’s Rat Entertainment will be playing an important part in that. Ratner is known as the producer of films like Rush Hour, X-Men and the Prison Break series.

Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan are currently in Los Angeles, where they are said to be chalking out strategies to market and promote the English version of their movie for the overseas territory. According to a source, the Roshans had a dinner meeting with Ratner, and other Hollywood bigwigs like Stan Lathan, Russell

Simmons and CAA agent Manny Nunez in Beverly Hills on Saturday night. Interestingly, our own Mallika Sherawat was also a part of the gathering. And by Sunday morning, news was out that Ratner would be presenting Kites, which features Mexican actor Barbara Mori alongside Fashion star Kangana Ranaut.

A paprazzo caught up with the Roshans after the deal was through and even managed to get an interview with Hrithik, during which Hrithik declared that he was in LA for work and to talk about Kites. That is when he revealed, “Kites is going to be a Brett Ratner ‘presents’.” On being asked about the subject of the film, Hrithik said that it’s a love story of an Indian man and a Mexican girl.

When contacted to confirm the story, Rakesh Roshan said, “Yes, it’s true. Kites will be a ‘Brett Ratner presents’.”
