Lara's week that was!
To have the friends and family that I have in my life and the work that God has blessed me with, Lara Dutta is hopeful.entertainment Updated: Oct 25, 2010 19:29 IST
It’s been a whirlwind week folks!! I’ve been to four countries; three time zones and thousands of frequent flier miles later have finally landed in Berlin to begin work on Don 2. My travels have taken me to the beautiful, romantic Florence for my best friends wedding, where the bride wore white and looked radiant, the groom was his usual rakish self and they wed at the Palazzo Vecchio, watched over by Michelangelo’s David and his fig leaf! The reception was at the gorgeous Villa Corsini, and as the sun set and the bride and groom walked across the rose scented gardens to greet their guests, I fell in love with love all over again!
I then drove from Florence to Zurich via the vibrant city of Milan, stopping for a fabulous lunch at la Bruschetta (a warm, delightful family run restaurant where they scold you as you order but with a loving brashness), and visited the newly restored Duomo in the heart of the city, truly one of the most magnificent cathedrals I have ever seen! Our drive continued into the Lake Como region with its quaint Italian villages perched on the water. I hoped for a sighting of George Clooney, since he is a resident, but maybe was hoping for too much! Drove into Zurich at sunset and was greeted with many hugs and kisses and squeals of delight! Don’t let your imaginations run wild! They belonged to a seven, a five and a one year old!! It was time to visit another old dear friend, who after three kids looks like a 25 year old and would give any Miss Universe a run for their money!Three days of stroller- pushing, card castle building, face painting, baking and fondue eating later, I am about three pounds heavier and much, much happier! So now, as I sit in my hotel room, having completed my very first day of filming for Don 2, I look back on the week that has been and I feel blessed.
To have the friends and family that I have in my life and the work that God has blessed me with! It’s pretty cold here in Berlin but the excitement of starting a new film is still keeping me pretty warm! I get to do some pretty cool stuff and look pretty sharp while I do it! So, I leave all you good people with warm regards and hope you have a fulfilling week ahead! Stay happy and stay safe …until the next time!
