Madonna has been blamed for using the Charlie Hebdo attack to promote her album.

The 56-year-old pop diva took to Instagram to share an image "Je Suis Charlie", writing a peaceful message, and hashtagged her own album title, "Rebel Heart," the New York Post reported.

She wrote "These are very scary times we are living in. Ignorance breeds Intolerance and fear. We can only fight darkness with light! We are all Charlie! #revolutionoflove#rebelhearts."

In addition to this, the singer also posted a picture of Parisian protesters, writing though all religions must be respected, people should also respect human life, and that it wasn't God's idea to kill in his name, hashtagging her album again.
