The Bad Man will meet the Bad Babe tonight. Bollywood villain Gulshan Grover is the only Indian who will attend the 30th Anniversary Gala and Humanitarian Awards organised by the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in Los Angeles.
The awards will be presented by PETA’s sexiest ambassador, Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson. Other invitees include 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin and singer Bryan Adam. “I was the only one in India who received a formal invite followed by a personal invitation from PETA’s founder, Ingrid Newkirk, who’s a dear friend,” said Grover, talking to HT City from LA.
A vegetarian with three dogs, Grover has a six-year-long relationship with the animal rights organisation. “The biggest confusion I’m dealing with at the moment is my evening outfit. I wanted to wear a navy colour suit but friends are insisting on a black Jodhpuri.”
Will the Bad Man be on his best behaviour with Pamela Anderson? “I’ve met Pamela at various occasions. She is quite aggressive and even abusive when it comes to animal rights. A couple of years ago, when Jennifer Lopez wore a fur outfit, she called her a b****.” Talking about Baldwin, Grover says, “He’s really warm. He told me that he plans to visit India soon and we could work together on a project.”
Grover may be shocked by Pam’s manner, but he’s all for nudity in PETA’s ads. “A campaign needs to be bold and shocking, or it will fall on deaf ears.”
