1 She's got the Jag: Shobha De is a woman of choice. And that’s reflected in every aspect of her life, from the way she speaks to the way she dresses and the way she conducts herself. And now, even her car, a swanky Jaguar, is an attention-getter. Or that’s what we surmised when we saw the serious oohs and aahs it got from onlookers at the closing ceremony of the Mumbai Film Festival. As the car drew in at the NCPA, onlookers gaped long before they even saw the stunning Shobha, dressed in a bright pink saree, step out of it. Looks like nothing she does will ever go unnoticed.
2 What's all the fuss? Film festivals are a great place to hang out. Not just because you get to watch a lot of good movies, but also because you get to hear stories you otherwise wouldn’t. How? By eavesdropping of course! At Café at NCPA, which is filled with socialites and theatre artists, a lot happens. On Thursday evening, the topic of discussion was Sridevi’s comeback film English Vinglish. And, according to the group of women, it wasn’t even half as good the reviews said it was. Who made them the critics?
3 Angry young man: Okay, so he’s not that young, but Rahul Bose is definitely one angry man. Or so he seems, at least. After the awards ceremony finished, Rahul didn’t seem as though he was in the mood to socialise. Rather, almost the second the ceremony ended, he was in his car and zooming off. What was the hurry, Rahul?
