Mithunda's love story!

entertainment Updated: Feb 20, 2010 16:53 IST

In the second season of Dance India Dance, choreographer-judge-mentor Terence Lewis has already proven that no one can portray romance better than him, on stage. This week, he had set Jack and Vandana from his team to waltz to the song Dil kya kare. According to onlookers, the performance resembled champagne guzzling down the throat. It transported everyone on the set to the time they romanced someone, as passionately.

Grandmaster Mithun Chakraborthy remembered his first love. He said he had a huge crush on actress Vyajayanthimala. “Her film Sooraj movie with Rajendra Kumarji had become a rage. I had gone to see the movie with few of my friends. There were plenty of school girls in the audience. A pretty girl was sitting on the seat behind mine. I turned back a couple of times to catch a glimpse of her. Then, a coin slipped out of her hands. I picked it up for her. When I handed it to her, she said in a haughty tone, “Keep it.” Probably she thought I was a beggar. I felt humiliated. I wanted to tell her that I wasn’t. I thought I’d tell her ‘I love you’ and make her reciprocate it,” says the actor.

Mithunda adds that they became great pals and dated after that incident. He was moist-eyed too because his dear friend is no more. She died because of cancer. Aww! What a love story!
