Amid protests and threats being issued by various outfits to Aamir Khan, the security has been beefed up for the Bollywood actor who is putting up in Ludhiana for shooting of his upcoming movie ‘Dangal’.
The renowned actor has drawn a flak over his recent remarks on ‘intolerance’.
The members of Shiv Sena gathered outside the hotel where Aamir Khan has been putting up, and also disrupted the traffic. The members said the actor should leave the country if he is so much irritated. The protesters also burnt posters bearing Khan’s photographs.
Punjab Shiv Sena chairman Rajeev Tandon, who was leading the protesters, said those residing here and having Indian passport don’t dare to speak against the nation.
Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Rupinder Kaur Saran said the police have made all arrangements to provide security to the actor and patrolling has also been increased near the hotel where he stays. “Cops have been deployed at the hotel. A team of quick reaction team is also keeping a close watch,” said Kaur.
