Highlight Story

After all the positive interaction (we mean no ragging) with the seniors, the fuchhas in Delhi University enjoy a freshers’ party that welcomes them on campus. Here’s a look at few of them

Lady Shri Ram College
There is no single grand party for the freshers. Every department holds a separate freshers’ party for the new batch. The students are given different themes and are expected to be as wacky as possible.

Hindu College
The college offers a grand welcome to the new kids on its campus with a big freshers’ party where Mr and Miss Fresher are adjudged. This party is followed by parties by different departments where the juniors get to interact with their seniors.

St Stephen’s College
The students are given a formal party where they are introduced to the values and principles of the college followed by a grand lunch. Later, informal parties are organised by different departments where students are expected to dress up according to the themes given to them.

Sri Venkateswara College
Different competitions and performances are organised to welcome the new batch. The seniors here are known for their warm and hearty welcome to the juniors.

Maharaja Agrasen College
The new students are welcomed with a grand DJ session. There are also performances by seniors. Also, there is a competition for the best dressed male and female according to the theme given.

Ramjas College
Here, too, there are two different parties, one by the college union and the other by different departments. The department parties are more popular with the freshers as they get to interact with their seniors.
