It was one starry Sunday night. But things reportedly took a nasty turn with a full- blown fight between Shah Rukh Khan and editor-filmmaker Shirish Kunder. But interestingly, multiple versions of the brawl are doing the rounds.
Version one: Apparently, director-choreographer Farah Khan’s husband, Shirish was at an event till the wee hours of the morning when SRK walked into the starry bash.
When SRK reached this after-party bash for a popular award show at around 4 am, after attending actor-producer Sanjay Dutt’s success party for Agneepath, the party was at its peak. SRK approached Shirish and invited him for a private chat.
But even before anyone could hear anything, their conversation turned into a heated argument. Things went from bad to worse and Baba Dewan, Dutt’s friend, and Dutt himself had to pulled SRK and Shirish apart from each other.
Version two: Shah Rukh reached the party. And once inside, he apparently heard Shirish making a nasty comment that soon led to a brawl.
After SRK got into the scuffle, Dutt too, reportedly, joined the fight, as he had been miffed with Shirish because the latter has apparently sent some unsavoury messages to his wife Maanyata in the past.
So, reportedly SRK, Sanjay and Baba Dewan teamed up to assault the Joker director.
In any case, both SRK and Shirish have a history of sorts. They first reportedly fought at an event organised for Farah’s film, Om Shanti Om (2007) where SRK was the lead actor and the producer.
A few days ago, Shirish tweeted a tongue-in-cheek post on Twitter against RA.One.
He says, “Just heard a 150 Cr firework fizzle.” And added, “Ironically, # Steps To Survive A Horror Movie is trending today…the superhero in RA.One has all the powers in the world but to entertain.”
Till the time of going to the press, SRK remained unavailable for comment, while Farah responded cryptically “Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem and that it means the person who’s hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on. And it saddens me to see him doing the same.”
She was quoted as saying that there was no provocation from Shirish’s side.
