The sole objective of the event is to reveal the variety of various human emotions to children through the medium of the media. The MICFF is working towards enhancing human understanding in kids through an international cinematic experience. They will also showcase movies to the underprivileged children and help them in the same spirit.
The festival will be divided into two sections – Competitive (World Cinema, Short Films, Children’s Produced Films) and Non-Competitive (Indian Retrospective and Iranian Retrospective.)
The films will be showcased, judged and MICFF promises to be the complete platform for kids as there will be workshops, movie making and a lot more for them to learn.
The MICFF has also made a ‘Children’s Jury Award’. MICFF says that this will help the moviemakers realise what the up-coming generation is looking forward for in a movie.
There is a chance for the kids to use their hands on the cameras as ‘Children’s Produced Films’ category where in they can make a movie of 2-7minutes.
Awards are also the part of this festival that will be given to Best Children’s Feature Film, Best Animation Film, Best Short Film and the Special Jury Award as personalities like Pritish Nandy, Megan Mylan, Sudhir Mishra, Amol Gupte, Uma De Cunha, Ram Mohan and John Jerome Lee are the part of the jury.
