For a singer with such popularity, Mohit Chauhan comes across as a very humble person. The reluctant singer likes his work to speak for itself. Chauhan, who’s in town for a Fever 104 concert tomorrow, says he is working on a new album and is currently busy compiling the tracks.
“I will come out with the album hopefully next year.” Chauhan, known for his soothing romantic ballads, says he is always open to experimenting. “Though I have been labelled a romantic singer, I have always dabbled in different genres,” he says.
Hailing from Nahan in Himachal Pradesh, Chauhan has an intimate relationship with nature. “It means a lot to me. I was always surrounded by greenery throughout my childhood,” Chauhan remembers fondly. His advice to young aspirants: “Be humble. It took me time to reach the position that I’m at. I did jingles and music for documentaries along the way. Don’t give up ... keep working hard, you’ll find success along the way!”
Mohit will be performing at the Siri Fort Auditorium, 7pm onwards
