Actor Sonam Kapoor recently spilled the beans on her father’s age, when she revealed that actor Anil Kapoor is not 52 as he is known to be, but, in fact, 56. Daddy Kapoor now refuses to clear the air. “I like to confuse people. I have also said on national television that I am 60. Sometimes I am 55, 60 or even 72. Let people guess my age,” he said.

In a recent interview to HT City, Sonam had said, “He is not 52. He is a liar. He is much older than that. He is 1956 born.” Anil, who was in the Capital for the music launch of his film Tezz, says that age does not matter for a Bollywood hero, but more for the people around him. "In my case people are more curious because I have a grown-up daughter," he says.

After working with Hollywood star Tom cruise and filmmaker Danny Boyle, Anil says that he has turned choosy about international projects. "I have said no to five Hollywood films in the last six months. It sounds pompous and arrogant but it's a fact," he says.

“I would rather do two scenes in a Slumdog Millionaire than the leading role in a film which might never see the light of day,” he adds. The actor, who is doing another Hollywood film, Cities, says that he is not affected by criticism about the length of his role in international flicks. "When Slumdog released, people criticised it. But after its success, people stopped. Mission: Impossible is my second film to have crossed the half a billion dollar mark and I am proud of it," he says.
