My answers to that one question...

I have a confession to make. It’s not pretty, but it’s true. When people ask me one question - that one question, the one that makes you burst a blood vessel and makes you ponder almost forever until you think you have an answer. That one question that makes you wonder, smile and worry all at once - “what do you wish for right now?”
Take a moment and ask yourself. My obvious answers were, the first to surface and then the more complicated ones. The obvious wishes were perennial happiness, blessings for those I love, peace of mind, true friends, true love, the best song, the best movie, the best night, the best day, world peace, mind control, fat loss and good hair days 365 days of the year.
The “out there” wishes were:
Immortality so I could cruise around the world and fill my eternal life up with experiences that span more than a 1000 years.
Shape shifting so I could be invisible or extremely visible as the need may be.
A mathematician for a day because that’s my weakness.
A top chef because I love cooking for people.
A moment with Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson.
A duet with Kishore Kumar and screen time with Marlon Brando.
To convince Superman to wear his underpants inside and politicians to wear their true intentions outside.
As I looked back at my list, I realized some wishes were already granted and some wishes transformed into questions. There is no such thing as perennial happiness, only valuing each moment for all it is and somewhere in the universe that adds up to an eternity.
Those I love are always blessed, which is precisely why I love them no matter what. Peace is a place you have to build day by day.
True friends are those you least expect to find and you will always find one in a moment that truly counts. True love is something you have to find in your own reflection and when someone else can see themselves in your mirror. The best song is the one you can sing in the shower for 10 years - for me it’s the Beatles and someday someone will sing your song.
The best movies are the ones that didn’t win an Oscar but move you to tears. The best day leads into the night where you value both the sun and the moon. As for fat loss and great hair, the world is still figuring that one out! I wish I had answer!!
For every wish you make, concentrate hard enough and if it is meant to be, don’t ever doubt that it shall be yours… wish upon a star. Even if the sky is dark..Happy wishing!
