They say behind every successful man, there is a woman and actor Nikhil Dwivedi can’t help but agree, as he recently got hitched to longtime girlfriend Gaurie Pandit, and is raving about his lady love.
“She is lucky for me and has brought lot of positivity in my life. I have known her since last five years and it feels great to be married to someone who has been with me through thick and thin,” says the actor, who won critical acclaim for his last outing Raavan, and will be now seen in Ekta Kapoor’s
Shor in the City
The 29-year-old had to cancel his honeymoon to South Africa in order to promote the movie. “I postponed my honeymoon as Ekta requested me to stay back for the promotion,” says Dwivedi, who feels after marriage, “there are many offers coming my way”.
The actor is now concentrating on meatier roles. “After
, I wanted to raise the bar. For me, doing a small film with a meaty role is much important than doing a big film with a small role,” he says.
Talking about his character in Shor in the City, Dwivedi says, “I play a rowdy and petty criminal who wants to make quick money.”
The actor is also all praise for actors Tusshar Kapoor and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who co-star with him in the movie. “Tusshar is an extremely sincere guy and so is Sendhil,” he says.
