Actor Naseeruddin Shah is doing for his son Imaad Shah’s career what he has never done for his own. According to the latest buzz, the actor will lend his presence to promote his elder son’s forthcoming movie,
Directed by Prawal Raman, the film sees Imaad play an eccentric, genius college student. Imaad, also a musician, has been seen performing in the city regularly with his band The Pulp Society. On Friday, he and his bandmates had a concert in Nepal and people were pleasantly surprised to see father Naseer there. The veteran actor did not let the limelight shift from his son.
“I attended Imaad’s concert in Kathmandu. I made sure it remained his evening. So when people at the concert began to approach me, I sweetly turned down their requests for attention. It was my son’s evening. I was just a spectator who happened to be a proud father,” says the 60-year-old actor.
“The concert at the Kanthipath area of Kathmandu was for a very restricted audience. It got delayed because of inclement weather. But Naseer sat patiently in an corner. When Imaad and his band finally started performing, Naseer’s face was glowing with happiness,” says a source.
