Freshers had a gala time dancing to some popular Bollywood numbers as HT City’s freshers party reached its next destination — National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The students came dressed in their best outfits and made the party quite a fashionable affair.

“I’ve bought my dress specially for the freshers today,” said first year student, Vidushi Kaul. The most sought after event of the evening was the Veet Diva of the Day contest, which saw contestants hopping on to the stage even before the entries were declared open. After three rounds of a ramp walk, introduction and questions and answers — the winner was selected, along with first and second runners up.

Another highlight of the party was the T-shirt design competition. Students drew their understanding of the theme — 100 years of Delhi as the national Capital. Students were seen enjoying and grooving to hit numbers such as Character dheela and Bhaag DK Bose, played by DJ Sumit Sethi. Other activities such as arm-wrestling and push ups added to the mood of the party.
