Now that his brother, cricketer Yusuf Pathan is engaged, Irfan Pathan is facing many queries about his own marriage. But, the cricketer has no marriage plans as of now.

Pathan, who is part of the Delhi Daredevils IPL team, says he is fully concentrating on his career at the moment. Other things will have to wait. “There are no plans at the moment. Jab hogi tab hogi aur tab main media ko zaroor bataunga. Obviously when I get married the whole world is going to know. Right now, my focus is on my game, I am just 27 and I think I still have time for everything else. I really need to work hard for next few years and everything else will follow. I am tired of answering questions about my marriage,” says Irfan, who was in the Capital recently as the brand ambassador of men’s clothing brand, Mushky.

Talking about fellow cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s successful recovery, Pathan said, “I am really happy to see him back in India. I am so happy to see him fight cancer successfully. I am looking forward to seeing him play again. I am so proud of him”. Meanwhile, Pathan remained tight-lipped about Yusuf’s wedding details. “When Yusuf arrives in Delhi as part of Kolkata Knight Riders, You can ask him all the questions,” he said.

Talking about the current season of the IPL, Pathan said, “Playing IPL is great fun. There is a long season ahead. It has been good till now. We have to make sure that we keep our focus and right attitude towards the game and not worry much about the results. We have a right mix of experienced and new players. After the IPL, I will keep spending a lot of time training and try to regain my place in the Indian Test team in the near future.”

Irfan says...
Why are you asking me about Yusuf’s marriage? When he’ll arrive in Delhi with his Kolkata Knight Riders team, ask him.
Walking the ramp is easier than playing cricket. For me, fashion means wearing comfortable clothes.
I don’t follow trends.
I love visiting Delhi. It is always fun to be here. The food that’s prepared here is just awesome and I can’t have enough of it.
