An unidentified man with a revolver was spotted outside a private engineering college in Dongangaon, Nagpur, when Salman Khan was interacting with the local media there on May 19. A cameraman on the scene even got a shot of him. Yet the actor insists that “there is no threat to my life” and pleads with the media not to “spread rumours.”
Salman left for the airport immediately after the event and only learnt about the man with the revolver after entering the aircraft. “I didn’t see him. It could have been a policeman and not some crazed fan. This is all
bakwas
! (nonsense)” he exclaims, trying to play down the incident.
However, more than a dozen bodyguards were present at the 3rd Rock event that the actor had come to a suburban hotel in Mumbai to promote. Salman will be performing with his
Ready
co-star Asin at the concert on June 2.
He dismissed ‘friend’ Katrina Kaif’s desire to produce a film co-starring Aamir Khan saying, “She will never produce a film. But if she wants Aamir, I’ll get him for her since I have no dates. Anyway, we are doing
Ek Tha Tiger
together so we cannot do another film so soon.”
When quizzed on
Dabangg’s
National Award he quips, “The people of India have already awarded us. I guess the
junta
(public) convinced the government to give us this award.”
