Her name may have come up as a possible brand ambassador of the controversial Kochi IPL team, but Vidya Balan is flummoxed by the reports. On a recent visit to the Capital, the actress rubbished the news saying, "This is news to me! I have no clue of anything of this sort and I have not even been approached for it."
However, when asked how the rumours could have gained momentum, the actress declined to comment.
Vidya has been staying Delhi off and on this past month for the shooting of Rajkumar Gupta’s film No One Killed Jessica? In the film, based on the Jessica Lal murder, Balan plays the victim’s sister Sabrina Lal while actress Rani Mukherji plays a journalist helping her on the case. Talking about her equation with Mukherji, she says, “I am very fond of Rani. She’s such a talented actress, I look up to her.” Balan, who was in town to receive an award from the Young FICCI Ladies Organisation, said she has now started enjoying the heat of Delhi.
“I was initially very apprehensive about shooting in Delhi, I had a heard a lot about the heat. But now my body is accustomed to it. I just keep drinking a lot of water and stay focussed on my work,” the actress said.
