Not close to Salman, but would like to be: Armaan Kohli

After many angry outbursts and endless controversies, Armaan Kohli was finally evicted from the Bigg Boss house on Saturday (December 21). He hopes that people were entertained by the show, which, he feels, has changed his life. “Being on the show for 98 days was the experience of a lifetime. It taught me a lot, I got patient in the last leg as I was controlling myself. I’m a bit sad to be out a week before the finale, but being part of the top six is also a big deal.”
Talking about his friendship with host Salman Khan and the actor favouring him on many occasions, Armaan says, “I’m not close to him but I’d like to be his good friend. I hope he considers me for his next film. As for people thinking he was favouring me, I don’t think that was the case. He reprimanded me when I was wrong. He is not a biased man. People are wrong if they perceive so.”
Armaan is also quick to come up with reasons to defend his behaviour in the house. “I was being the angry young man on the show. Now, if anyone asks me to audition for a role, I can just show them these episodes. I have always wanted to do a negative role and now I’ve got one but I’ll talk about that later,” he says.
Prod him a little and the actor reveals that he will start three new projects that are his home productions. But nothing is finalised yet. What’s more is that he doesn’t seem to be too bothered about ruining his image on national TV either. “It doesn’t matter. People were provoking me and it’s easy to judge while watching TV. Being in that situation 24x7 is different. If you have an argument with someone outside, you can walk away, but not in the house. People’s memory is short anyway, they might forget things soon,” adds Armaan.
Sofia’s (Hayat, fellow contestant) FIR and Armaan’s consequent arrest was one of the biggest controversies on the show this season. Armaan now wants to clear things out, and will soon arrange for a press conference for the same. “It was a situation that was blown out of proportion. I’m being blamed for everything,” he says.
Finally, we ask him about his relationship with Tanisha (Mukerji) and he laughs, saying, “She’s dear friend who stood by me and I will always value and appreciate that. Tanisha is independent, and I like that about her. It’s a private matter, so I wouldn’t want to say much. All I can say is that we are very close.”
