Cheryl ColeSinger Cheryl Cole is to retain her maiden name Tweedy once her divorce from husband Ashley Cole is finalised.

The Girls Aloud singer who filed for divorce from cheating footballer husband Ashley Cole now wants to cut all ties with him and is requesting half of the couple's marital assets, including their Surrey mansion in South East England worth $8.6 million, reports contactmusic.com.

"She doesn't want his cash, but she does want half of their marital assets. Any trace of Ashley will be expunged from her life. Ashley's lawyers have given every indication this is not too much to ask, which has raised her spirits," said a source.
