There may be a number of celebrities who shy away from admitting to relationships and addressing link-up rumours, but of late, several others have been acknowledging such talk and clarifying their relationship status.

In the latest such instance, cricketer Virat Kohli put months of speculation to rest when he finally confirmed his relationship with actor Anushka Sharma, saying at an event, "We are not hiding anything; we are not trying to hide anything."

Even as the likes of Aditya Roy Kapur-Shraddha Kapoor and Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone stay mum about their alleged relationships, here are some couples who have been more forthcoming about their personal lives.

Rani Mukerji-Aditya Chopra

Current status: Married

The lowdown: Rani allegedly began dating the Chopra scion in 2008, but there was never any confirmation. Although Rani was seen at Aditya’s father, Yash Chopra’s funeral in 2012, and a few other functions, there was nothing official till the couple tied the knot in Italy on April 21 this year. "I know that all my well-wishers who have waited for this day will be really happy for me. I have always believed in fairy-tales and, with God’s grace, my life has been exactly like one, and now as I enter the most important chapter of my life — the fairy-tale continues," said Rani in a statement.

Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif

Current status:
Living together

The lowdown: One of Bollywood’s most high-profile pairs, the duo has always declined to comment on their relationship. Apparently, sparks first flew on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009). They were spotted together several times, including in a set of pictures from a vacation in Ibiza. Katrina recently told HT Café, "Ranbir is an extremely important person in my life, and I feel everyone — to a large extent — is aware of his presence in my life. People can understand, and be sufficiently satisfied with that." With the two recently hosting a house-warming party at their new sea-facing house in Bandra (W), an official confirmation may just be on its way.

Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma

Current status:
In a relationship

The lowdown: Talk of the cricketer and the actor being a couple began when they shot together for a shampoo commercial last year. This was followed by Anushka’s neighbours spotting Virat at her Versova apartment, as well as a number of public sightings. The most obvious sign was Virat blowing a kiss to Anushka during a cricket match recently. While Anushka confirmed their relationship to HT Café a few days ago, Virat followed suit at an event on Thursday (November 20), saying, "I don’t want to hide anything. If you are seen together somewhere and still people ask, ‘Is it confirmed?’, then it is a matter of common sense.

Harman Baweja-Bipasha Basu

Current status
: On a break

The lowdown: The rumours surfaced last year, when Bipasha was snapped with Harman on her birthday, in Goa. After several months of not admitting to their relationship, the couple finally admitted to being together a few months ago. Bipasha’s post on Twitter read, "Stating the obvious!Yes Harman n Me r a couple :) Finally I have met a person who is a far better human being than I am. Blessed (sic)". The couple has confirmed that they are currently on a break, but speculation that he cheated on her was met with denial.
