We thought Parineeti Chopra would be basking in the success of her most recent release, Ishaqzaade. Instead, we found the actor fuming at the numerous rumours and link-ups surrounding her. Parineeti was initially being romantically paired with actor Uday Chopra after they were seen arriving together for Karan Johar’s 40th birthday bash. Later, the two were also spotted having dinner at a restaurant in Bandra.

Then, reports of her dating Jackky Bhagnani surfaced, followed by stories claiming director Maneesh Sharma (he directed her film, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl) was bowled over by her and has cast her in his next film. Parineeti reacts to the gossip saying, “It seems that I’m dating every single man I meet. I don’t understand where these ridiculous stories come from. I’m not dating Uday (Chopra), Jackky Bhagnani or Maneesh Sharma. They are my friends, and Uday, Adi (Chopra) and Maneesh are people who I take advice and suggestions from.”

Seething that these stories are hurting her image, she adds, "I’m very angry about these reports. Just because I went out to lunch with someone or had dinner with a friend doesn’t mean I am dating him. I can call a few people and clarify these rumours, but I can’t explain myself to the whole country. Can’t a woman have coffee or lunch without being linked to someone?"

In spite of working together, the only person left off the list is her Ishaqzaade co-star, Arjun Kapoor, which the actor is thankful for. “I am glad, but I wouldn’t be surprised if tomorrow there are rumours about us as well. People might write about Arjun, (Ishaqzaade director) Habib Faisal or any other person I’m in touch with. It’s very unprofessional,” Parineeti concludes.
