Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor is her father and Padmini Kolhapure her aunt. Shraddha developed an interest in acting quite early and was active in theatre while she was in school. She trained under theatre directors Roysten Abel and Barry John and after auditioning for Teen Patti, got selected for the only female role in the movie.

I mainly take it easy with my mom or the whole family if they’re at home. I just loiter around the house or play with my dog.

My poise, a mat, laptop to watch loads of movies and listen to music, an umbrella and a giant basket of preservable food and drinks.
The wickedest prank you ever pulled on anyone?
In Class II, I used to scare this wimp of a friend by telling him that I turn into a snake at night and that I’d come to his house at night. He was actually petrified of me for a few weeks after that! But sadly I had to tell him that I was only joking.
