The UK-born Sophie stepped into show business when she started singing for music director Biddu at the age of 13. She moved to Mumbai in 2003 where she continued singing and also worked as a VJ with MTV.
Bollywood soon came calling. She made her debut with Shaadi No 1. She has Sanjay Gupta’s Alibaug and Jehangir Surti’s Aa Dekhen Zara lined up this year.

After seeing The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, perhaps not. I’d love to look good forever but I want to grow old with people I love.

Sirocco in Bangkok because the setting is incredibly beautiful and the food is divine. Also, great company and fantastic conversation!
Your worst date ever?
My last birthday. The food was scrumptious. The company was not!
A place you’d love to visit.
South America. I am fascinated by their music and culture. I really want to go for the carnival in Rio!

Noor Inayat Khan because she was an incredible woman, Marylin Monroe and Napoleon Bonaparte.
Which film’s heroine do you most identify with?
Priyanka Chopra in Dostana. A gorgeous, fun-loving, young woman trying to make a name for herself and surrounded by men she cannot date!
The naughtiest thing you’ve ever done...
Driven a rickshaw at 5 am even though I don’t have a license! Very naughty and irresponsible!
Your retirement dream?
I can’t even imagine retirement at this stage!!! However if I must, then South of France, a beautiful villa and the love of my life!
