Talk about a wedding to remember! When reality TV star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West walked down the aisle on May 24, 2014, it was dubbed "the most extravagant celebrity wedding of the year".

Exactly three months later, another high profile wedding happened. It literally just happened: there were no exclusive wedding details; no 'who's the bride wearing', 'when and where are they getting married' and other fancy details we love about Hollywood weddings.
Long-time lovers, Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie's French wedding ceremony on Saturday was as hush hush a celeb wedding can get. Hollywood's first couple for almost 10 years, Brangelina's private wedding at their $60 million Chateau in Nice, France, was attended by close family and friends. Even, Angie's dad, actor Jon Voight, was not invited. He didn't even know about the wedding. "That's nice," he was quoted as saying, when the media asked him about the development.

Remember how, Kimye and their 600 guests, all gathered at the 16th century Fort Belvedere in Florence, Italy, after their lavish Palace of Versailles pre-wedding party. And thanks to Instagram, the Kardashian clan and their social media savvy ways we got to know it all: from the outrageous details on Kim’s wedding dress and wedding ring and 1,000 bottles of champagne to Kanye's reportedly 20-minute speech on a broad range of topics calling the Kardashian family "the most remarkable people of our time" and Kim "the ideal celebrity... the ideal art." Who can forget the Gold Digger singer's "Kim’s way more beautiful than I am talented," quote at the celebrations, right?

That said, Brangelina's wedding, which was reported four full days after the affair (a spokesperson confirmed it on Thursday), and Kimye's European wedding extravaganza, were as different as chalk and cheese. Barring four similarities, of course: both couples are red carpet darlings, both? got married in Europe, both their weddings were over-hyped and both saw some cute moments with the couples' children walking down the aisle.
Of course plenty of other stars were sharing their well wishes for the power couple on Twitter. "Congratulations Angie & Brad!!!" Actor Mia Farrow wrote alongside a picture of the pair. Another celeb shared, "Congrats to Brad and Angelina. Two of the nicest people in Hollywood." George Clooney has expressed his happiness at the wedding saying, 'How great is that?'

Now, some highlights from Brad and Angie's quite and intimate ceremony:
1 Watched on by only 22 people, including their brood of six children, Brad, 50, and Angelina, 39, said 'I Do' on Saturday as a source told E News!; the actress walked down the aisle in a white dress which was 'very traditional, but very Angie, it was comfortable but plain white floor-length antique lace and silk.'
2 While the designer of the gown is still unknown, the website claims the star 'definitely wore something that once belonged to her late mother Marcheline Bertrand.
3 A source told MailOnline how the couple decided to marry at the stunning estate they bought in 2011 after Angelina made a promise to wed in France to her mother - and also to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the filming of Mr & Mrs Smith, where they met and fell in love.
4 Jolie walked down the aisle with her eldest sons Maddox, 13, and Pax, 10, on each arm. Her daughters Zahara, nine, and Vivienne, six, threw petals, and Shiloh, eight, and Knox, six, served as ring bearers. Brad's parents, Bill and Jane Pitt, were in attendance, according to the site, along with the groom's brother, Doug Pitt, sister Julie Pitt and her two children.
5 The source added that Brad's ex-wife, Friends star Jennifer Aniston, had no idea about the wedding - nor did Angelina's first husband, Johnny Lee Miller, even though he is said to be 'relaxed' as they remain friends.
6 Alongside this, the timing of the ceremony was 'not some happy accident' as it was 'deliberately chosen to commemorate the milestone of the 10th anniversary of filming of Mr and Mrs Smith', according to the source, who said that their son Maddox was 'particularly excited' and had been a 'powerful driver' for the two to marry.
7 Brad and Angelina's wedding rings are believed to have been designed by their good friend Robert Procop, who designed Angelina's stunning engagement ring, an estimated 16-carat, emerald-cut diamond and worth approximately $500,000. He is thought to have attended the wedding.
8 Meanwhile, Brad's new gold wedding band is worth just $10,000, according to jeweller to the stars Vashi Dominguez, who said: 'Although Brad and Angelina are global stars, it's a surprisingly modest ring.'
