Nagendra Karri, a 26-year-old Indian born filmmaker has announced his US $30 million film, which will cast one out of Hollywood heart-throbs Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio or Russell Crowe as the lead. The film titled Mobster will also have a Hindi version. Karri, who debuted at the Cannes Film Festival with his film Where are you Sophia? says, “We are planning to cast either Aamir Khan, Kamal Hasan, Abhishek Bachchan or Rahul Bose as the lead for the Hindi version.”
A big star cast
Mobster will have both Hollywood and Bollywood actors. “We are very close to confirming the star for the lead role. We have Johny Depp, Leonardo Di Caprio and Russell Crowe for the role. We are also in touch with the agents of Eva Green for one of the main characters in the film,” said the filmmaker. The English version will also see Neil Nitin Mukesh and Irrfan Khan in a significant role.
The shooting for the movie will begin in the last week of September, and Karri has chosen not-so-typical locales for the shoot. “I am planning to shoot in the north eastern part of India, probably Mizoram or Nagaland, which are not known to much of the world,” said Karri.”
