‘Preity’ good cricket

entertainment Updated: May 23, 2011 01:17 IST

After actor Shah Rukh Khan, it seems actor Priety Zinta too has found a penchant for trying a hand at cricket. While SRK was seen weilding the willow at a friendly cricket match some time ago in Bangalore, it was Zinta’s turn at Dharamshala on Saturday.

After the Punjab team's win against Deccan Chargers in their last IPL match in Dharamshala on May 21, Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta played a friendly match with other franchise owners.

Along with Zinta, 36, the other co-owner of Kings XI Punjab — industrialist Ness Wadia and Mohit Burman, and the owners of Deccan Chargers — T Vinayak Ravi Reddy and Gayatri Reddy, participated in the match. Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama was also present at the venue to give his blessings to the teams. Zinta and Reddy opened their respective innings. The bubbly actor was seen in her trademark cheery self on the field, giving a hug to a bowler after scoring a boundary off his bowling.
