Actor Preity Zinta has just fulfilled her dream of flying an aeroplane. Zinta, 31, who is hosting Guinness World Records — Ab India Todega on Colors, got the opportunity recently when Capt Anil Thapar was attempting to break the record of ‘Most balloons released by aeroplane ribbon cut’. Zinta co-piloted an X-Air and single-handedly manoeuvred it for a long stretch on her own.
“Preity was very excited about the flight. Before taking off, she prayed and said, “Mom, I love you”. She has done some flying earlier, and it all went very smooth,” says Thapar.
Zinta is thrilled about the show, which hits the screen on March 18. “This year was always going to be the year for me to return to my core business, entertainment. Here I am, on the verge of making my small screen debut, followed by film assignments after IPL 4 wraps up,” she says. “It’s a win-win situation for me. I’ll be on TV hosting my show, and on field I will be cheering for my team, Kings XI Punjab.”
Zinta had been lying low since the last two years. “I had nearly shut shop. In the middle of a court case and a broken relationship (with Wadia), I was mentally not prepared,” she admits.
