Priyanka-Katrina avoid face-off

entertainment Updated: Apr 27, 2010 19:34 IST

PriyankaHowdee doo hoo my honey-fried noodleys! I’m so glad the Indian Premiere League (IPL) is over. Over the last month and a half, especially in the last week, there has been so much being reported on it that it seems as if nothing else is happening on earth.

On the plus side, there have been some quite spicy nuggets from the various places where the matches were played. So I shouldn’t be complaining too much. More so since I have a couple of masaledaar news items today too. So read on my sweetums...

Achha listen… for starters, I’ve just been informed that the thanda thanda cold cold war between Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif is still going on. My birdy tells me the staff of both the abhinetris were constantly on their toes at the Hotel Grand Hyatt, where they were performing for the IPL Awards, organised by Cineyug the other evening.

Yeah, while Kat performed to three of her hit tracks, PC sizzled on the stage for just one khaas number. According to my birdy, singer Anushka Manchanda recorded a special female version of Dhan te Nan from Kaminey, since PC wanted to perform to it. Suna hai everything was chalked down to the minutest details to ensure that Chopra and Kaif didn’t see each other, even by the remotest chance.

So from the time the two actresses arrived, to the entry and exit of their acts till the time they left the hotel, every move of theirs was time to clockwork precision, to avoid any kind of fireworks. Phew!
