UTV Action is organising a five-city pub-crawl in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. In Mumbai, the pub-crawl is being held on Sunday at pubs and bars in Churchgate. On offer is free beer, goodie bags and a ‘panja’ competition. Says Kunal Mukherjee, marketing head of UTV Action, "This is a sort of activity which is perfect for young people to indulge in. We are hoping to create awareness about the channel and this activity seemed like a fun thing to do."
The pub-crawl will start at 11 am from Valhalla and then proceed to Mocha and end at Geoffreys at the Marine Plaza hotel. Games to be organised at the venues include beer pong, drop the dime and beer race among more. Pub-crawlers will be issued mock passports which can be stamped at each venue. Stamps, in turn, can be collected by winning the games. "It’s a very western concept but I think there aren’t many pub crawling activities that are conducted in the city. We hope to make it a more regular feature," says Mukherjee.
For those interested, all you need to do is show up at any of these venues and register yourself with the organisers. The teams will be in each venue for a period of two hours before proceeding to the next venue. Co-organiser Rocky Pinit, Head Brewer of Cheers Beers Lovers Club (CBLC), adds, "We are a group of like-minded people promoting the hobby and enjoyment of beer drinking. But we also encourage responsible drinking practices."
UTV Action in association with CBLC and Hot Muggs organises a three pub Pub Crawl at Valhalla, Mocha and Geoffreys, 11 am onwards on October 24.
