Kareena Kapoor clears speculation about her fantasy adventure; is happy to meet Russian President.

Kareena Kapoor is still upbeat about the 20-minute interaction with the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who after a meeting with prominent members of the film fraternity at Mumbai’s Yash Raj Studio on Wednesday afternoon, dropped by to watch Shah Rukh Khan and her rehearse for a RA.One song.

The President admitted that Russians are fascinated by our song-and-dance numbers and watch plenty of them on a 24-hour TV channel dedicated to Indian cinema.

Kareena describes the brief meeting as "special". She points out that though her grandfather Raj Kapoor is no longer around, she and her father, Randhir Kapoor, who was present at the meeting yesterday, have ensured that the Kapoor connection with a country that still dances to the Awaara hoon tune continues.

“The Russian President is an important man and I’m lucky Shah Rukh and I got to spend some time with him,” says Kareena, refuting rumours that RA.One is under a cloud and could be delayed because of certain hard-to-miss similarities with Rajnikanth’s Robot and Ajay Devgn’s Toonpur Ka Superrhero that releases today.

The actor points out that her fantasy adventure is still in progress and does not venture into the cartoon world. “It is nothing like Robot or Toonpur Ka Superhero,” she asserts. “It’s going to be India’s biggest VFX film and since the release is still a long way off — sometime around Diwali next year — it’s unfair to compare it with any other film. It’s nothing like anything you have seen before.”
