Even though actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra is away from the arclights but she says she is happy being a full time mommy to son Viaan. “Being a mother is the best role I have ever played. I can’t thank god enough for giving me Viaan. Everything else has taken a back seat in my life at the moment,” says the 37-year-old who visited the Capital recently to promote beauty brand Olay Total Effects.

Though Shilpa seemed to have put on weight post delivery but she maintains that she not worried about it. “My child is my priority I haven’t even started losing weight as it way below on my priority list. Having said that, in couple of months, I will hit the gym and be fit and get back to my regime.” Read on as Shilpa talks about things close to her heart.

Shilpa says:

On motherhood

It’s already been around three and a half month since Viaan was born. It seems time has just flown by. Motherhood undoubtedly is the most exciting, amazing and fulfilling and wonderful phase of my life.

On returning to acting

I find the word ‘comeback’ confusing.

Main koi sanyasan thodi ban gayi thi ya himalaya thodi chali gayi thi

. Acting

toh main abhi bhi nahi karungi

. I’m on a sabbatical and I don’t know for how long. I will do stuff that suits my schedule.

On Aishwarya’s weight gain

It is disconcerting and unjust. How do you expect a woman to get back into pre-baby shape within three months? We actors are humans too. If people want to be judgmental about us, they can.

On Raj Kundra

He is the best life partner I could have ever wished for. He is extremely supporting. He has turned me into a happier person. I owe him a lot.
