Hi da hi my hottie crispy cookies! How goes it with you this Friday morning? For a change it’s not raining billis and kutta kameenas, and the weather is looking perfect for a drive.

So I’m taking off in my Lamborghini to shoot some breeze on the expressway along with Mottu and Rajni. But before I take the wheel, let me share with you aaj ki taaza khabar.

For starters, I’ve just been informed that most Rajnikant fans down South were not too pleased to see the first promos of his forthcoming sci-fi thriller, Enthiran. Yeah, the same film with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which is also being made in Hindi as Robot.

Reason: They were shocked to see their idol sport a clean-shaven look in the movie, considering that many grew moustaches a la Rajni anna.

So much so that they thronged the superstar’s abode in Chennai to question him on why he was sporting a chikna look in Enthiran/Robot, informs my khabru from the South.

Apparently, Rajni got similar negative feedback when he had sported a clean-shaven look in some movie about 15 years ago too. Bas, tab se, he’s not dared to repeat that look until now.

However, my jasoos tells me that the actor told his fans that he had no choice, but to sacrifice his mooch for the role. “Rajni explained to them that it was director Shankar’s idea to keep the mooch since he needed it to tell the difference between his two characters, one as a scientist and the other as a robot. And as soon as he had wrapped up his portions as the robot, he grew his moustache and has no intention of removing it again,” recalls my source.

Thank God for small mercies, the crowd understood the reasoning and went away, satisfied. I don’t want to think of what would have happened if they had not. Shudder, shudder.
