This Raksha Bandhan, celebs talk about the special relationship they share with their siblings
I have many rakhi brothers. They include Subroto Mukherji, Kaushik and of course, my own brother Pradipta, who is the apple of my eye. After I lost my father recently, my brother is my guardian.
My friend’s wife, Vijayshree Chowdhary, is my rakhi sister. A Kathak teacher, she is a great person and reminds me of my family.
Other than my real brothers — Emraan Hashmi, Mohit Suri and Vishesh Bhatt —Kunal Deshmukh is my rakhi brother. He’s as good as my real brothers and has always been there for me. He acts as my support system.
I don’t have a real brother or rakhi brother, but I celebrate the festival with my sister. I’m very protective of her and take care of her like a big brother.
I don’t have a real sister, so my aunts (bua and maasi) tie me rakhis every year. It’s a day in my life that is completely dedicated to them.
My old friend from Delhi, Vikram Kapoor, is my rakhi brother. He’s the one who helped me with my career when I started. He gave me the push without any expectation and demand.
I’ve been celebrating Raksha Bandhan since I was 11. I have this special Punjabi brother, Ravikant, whom I have been tying rakhi since then. Though he stays in Bangalore now, I still make sure that the rakhi reaches him on time.
