Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have been making headlines for their superb on-screen chemistry in their next, Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD). Last week, we reported how the two bonded over instant noodles and eggs while stuck during a shoot in a high altitude region in Kashmir. Now, we’ve come to know that the two were mobbed by excited fans while shooting for a particular scene in Rajasthan.

A source close to the film says, “They were in Udaipur and filming a wedding sequence where one of their friends is shown getting married. As the shoot progressed, a huge crowd began to gather. In no time, there were hundreds of people at the location, anxiously waiting to catch a glimpse of Deepika and Ranbir.” Apparently, once the shoot wrapped up, it became almost impossible for the actors to leave the venue due to the thick mob surrounding the area.

The source says, “The gathering was so huge that Ranbir and Deepika couldn’t exit in the unit cars. They couldn’t wait there for very long either, which is why they decided to hop onto a local auto and make a quick exit.”

On being contacted, YJHD director Ayan Mukerji confirmed the news.
