Ravi Kissen to play Devdas in Bhojpuri

Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kissen, who is seeking to make a comeback in Bollywood with a series of movies lined up for release, will play

Devdas

in Bhojpuri.

The film is produced by Umesh Singh and directed by Kiran Kant Verma.

Ravi whose Hindi film Luck will be released tomorrow is working with Mani Ratnam in Ravan and Shyam Benegal in Well don Abbaji. He was last seen in Benegal's Welcome to Sajjanpur.

However, he has decided to continue in Bhojpuri films as well and has recently signed five new movies.

The actor said he was happy to play Devdas a character, protagonist from Sharatchandra's famous novel by the same name, which has been essayed by Dilip Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan before.

Producer Umesh Singh said in Bhojpuri only Ravi Kissen could do justice to the character because he felt Ravi is not just a star but also a good actor.
