Former Mr India (2008) and reality TV star Pravesh Rana has his hands full these days. After successfully hosting the kids’ dance show Chak Dhoom Dhoom on Colors, Rana is all set to host the Commonwealth Games (CWG) curtain-raiser on Doordarshan, as well as reality show Emotional Atyachaar 2 on UTV Bindass, that begins tomorrow.
Talking about his association with the upcoming CWG, Rana proudly says, “I feel privileged to be associated with the Commonwealth Games. Since I have been a sportsman, I am really excited about this big event.”But looking at the way work for the CWG is progressing, Rana feels we are just racing against time. He says, "We need to take our lessons from this mismanagement of time and resources. But I am hopeful that the Games will be a success." Ask him about his experience of hosting Emotional Atyachaar and the former model peps up: "I didn’t want to do the usual sitcoms.
TV shows offer lot of scope for an anchor. Firstly, calming people down, who are getting a loyalty check done on their partners, is a tough job. I’ll also make sure that both individuals are given a fair chance to prove themselves."
