South star Rajinikanth and Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone's Tamil period film, Kochadaiiyaan, has been in the news since its inception.
It first made headlines a few years ago when it was touted to be India's first 3D film to use motion-capture technology. Now the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote it. The first big activity will be the film’s music launch that is expected to be a mega affair. It is scheduled to take place in Chennai on March 9.
Apart from the film's lead actors, music composer AR Rahman and director Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin will also grace the event that will be held in a popular theatre in Chennai. "It will be an extravagant affair. Throne-like chairs will be placed on the stage that has been designed to resemble a ship. Also, eight-feet high posters of Rajinikanth will be put up in and around the venue," says a source close to the production team.
The launch will also be attended by a few special guests, who have personally been invited by Rajinikanth and the production house. "Innovative invitation cards have been made for guests. Each card will have a 3D image of Rajinikanth in his avatar from the film. All the guests, who will attend the event, will also receive goodie bags that will include mobile phones and other assorted gifts," adds the source.
