After actor Shruti Haasan was attacked by an unidentified stalker who showed up at her apartment in Bandra earlier this week, her worried father, south star Kamal Haasan, hopes that she’ll be more careful in the future.
Reportedly, Shruti filed an FIR on November 21 at the Bandra police station, and the cops have even recovered CCTV footage with the stalker’s photo from the building, but Kamal remains worried.
“It could happen anywhere; why blame Mumbai? It’s an urban city and Shruti has to be more careful. I will see what I can do to make life more secure for her. The police will also do their job,” he told us in Goa, where he is one of the chief guests at the 44th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
The Vishwaroopam actor reveals that he has spoken to Shruti
over the phone and fortunately, neither has let the incident affect their lives drastically. “I couldn’t meet her. She has gone to Dubai now for a film shoot. Life is going on as usual now because of the confidence we have in our police department,” he says.
