Telugu film industry woke up on Wednesday to hear the sad demise of legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Actors Siddharth, Priya Mani, Prakash Raj, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar mourn his sudden death.
Legendary actor of Telugu cinema Akkineni Nageswara Rao passed away at around 2.10 am in a Hyderabad hospital on Wednesday. He was suffering from cancer. He was 91 years old.

Rao had acted in more than 250 Telgu and Tamil films in his career. One of the film character immortalised by the actor was that of Devdas. He had also established Annapurna studios, which is one of the top studios in the country.
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar took to Twitter to express his grief over Nageswara's death. He wrote, "Sad to hear the demise of The Doyen of Telugu Cinema Shri.Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The stalwart of memorable performances will be missed.RIP."
Actor Siddharth tweeted, "A true legend & a giant has left us. RIP Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu. What a life. What a man. Will cherish every second I spent with you."
And the industry loses another Legend. RIP A. Nageshwara Rao garu. A true inspiration. Thoughts and prayers for his family.

"Thank u ANR garu.. For entertaining us. 4 ur studios 4 ur children. 4 being a pioneer in bringing Telugu film industry to Hyderabad. RIP !!," tweeted Prakash Raj.
