I was quite literally 17 again! From the moment I met Mrs. Julia Morley again (and the rest of the wonderful crew that make the show possible every year) to the time when I put the sash on the Miss World 2009, I was in a nostalgic daze!
There were so many things that kept taking me back.... seeing the mothers in the hotel lobby, waiting for a little glimpse of their daughters, walking on to that stage, talking to the team, walking through the dressing room with 112 girls running around getting ready. I could feel their nervousness, understand what was going through. Every aspect brought a smile to my face.
What made it special was that my mum was there with me again. She was my pillar of strength back then and continues to be today. I truly enjoyed my experience as a judge at Ms World 09... it’s a tough job to pick one girl out of the sea of beauty, brains and grace, but we did and that young lady is going to have the time of her life! Take it from someone who knows!
It was a fairly long flight to Johannesburg and I spent most of time reading your Impossible Pyaar stories. I was blown away, by your honesty and all the things that you guys did... for love! A lot of your stories have that “awww... how sweet” moments that you will find in Pyaar Impossible, the film! I laughed and I cried but overall I was simply overjoyed that there are so many people in this world ready to fight for love! My list of winners for the Pyaar Impossible contest will be on www.facebook.com/priyankachopraonline .
The excitement continued this week at the Lux Sabsey Favourite Kaun awards. I tried to do something different with my act with a humorous take on my own films. What shocked me was the awards I won... because I least expected it. What makes these awards special is that the winners are decided by you. Thank you for your continued show of love. I was really nervous about what 2010 would hold, but this is a great start and I’m looking forward to the new year!
