  • Gang of Ghosts is a paranormal comedy film starring Mahie Gill, Meera Chopra, Rajpal Yadav, Anupam Kher, Chunkey Pandey, Saurabh Shukla and Sharman Joshi.

  • Satish Kaushik's Gang of Ghosts is a remake of a popular Bengali film Bhooter Bhabishyat.

  • The grand old mansions and mills of South Mumbai are being razed to the ground to make way for swanky malls. With no rehabilitation package ...

  • Gang of Ghosts is produced by Venus Records & Tapes Pvt Ltd and The Satish Kaushik Entertainment.

  • Written By Satish Kaushik and Rajesh Chawla, Gang of Ghosts will hit theatres on March 21.

Satish Kaushik's directorial venture Gang of Ghosts released this Friday.
The film is about a haunted house, which is being pulled down and will be replaced by a glitzy shopping mall. Ghosts belonging to different eras, social spheres and different parts of India reside in this house. The ghosts decide to fight their own battle against rampant development and win it.
With actors like Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Saurabh Shukla, Parambrata Chaterjee and Yashpal Sharma, this official remake of Bengali film Bhooter Bhabishyat promised an interesting satire.
However, the movie, that also features Jackie Shroff and Meera Chopra, pathetically fails.

Despite all genuine efforts at highlighting the problems of urbanisation, Gang of Ghosts fails to leave a mark. It talks about the evil of real estate, politicians caring only for their votes and more such problems in our society. Unfortunately, the film does not offer the right build-up for the audience to empathise with the pain of the characters.
You can certainly miss this Bhootiyapanthi, as they call it in the film.
