Bollywood filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s abusive comment about actor Amitabh Bachchan has put him on the receiving end of hate mail from angry fans. On Friday morning, RGV tweeted saying, “Just watched Bbhuddah nd am angry with bacchan that hes such a c******a not to do films like this nd am such a l**d not to realize this (sic.),” tweeted Varma on Friday.
Though the message was intended to be a compliment, he was flooded by angry retorts. “Disappointing to hear such filthy language,” wrote Priyanka Nambiar. “Why are you abusing Bachchan sahab....” asked Vipul Chaube.
Meanwhile, the filmmaker is also under fire as the first promo of his film Not A Love Story, based on the Neeraj Grover murder case, released on Friday, the day the verdict of the case was expected.
Grover’s parents called it insensitive and a cheap publicity stunt, but RGV defends himself saying it’s a coincidence. “Nthng cn b mre of a bizarre coincidence..11.30 today verdict on Maria susairaj case nd 12.30 unveiling of the 1st look of Not a luv story (sic.),” tweeted RGV on Friday.
Set for an August release, film is inspired by the 2008 incident, when Grover was killed by Naval officer Emile Jerome Matthew, when he found him in his fiancee Maria Susairaj’s apartment.
