Fans who’re feeling broken-hearted to hear news of actor Vidya Balan’s ‘secret wedding’ with UTV CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur can relax. The two have told us that’s just crap.
On Tuesday, the cyberspace was flooded with messages expressing shock after reports emerged that they tied the knot in a private ceremony last week and were off on their honeymoon. But, Balan, 33, who is busy shooting for Ekta Kapoor’s The Dirty Picture, denies the news. “I’m not yet ready to make a wedding album. I’m busy making Dirty Pics,” she says. Roy Kapur, too, rubbishes the rumour, reacting with a “Not true at all.”
The two had reportedly started dating earlier this year during the filming of No One Killed Jessica, produced by UTV and starring Balan. Speculation gained momentum after the two were seen holidaying together in Goa in February. Earlier this month, it was also reported that Roy had accompanied filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar to Hyderabad, where the latter had gone to discuss his film Heroine with Kareena Kapoor. Roy apparently joined him in order to spend time with Vidya, who was shooting there. Some see the reported ‘marriage’ as a publicity gimmick. “Marriage, pregnancy the new way to promote films, as Vidya Balan proves,” tweeted Anaggh.
