Much like her bold and blunt character in her debut film, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, or her feisty tomboyish role in the romantic drama Ishaqzaade, Parineeti Chopra doesn’t shy away from speaking her mind in real life, too. So, be it rumours about her alleged link-ups, her films or anything else, the three-film-old Bollywood actor has already learned to take it all head on.
The 26-year-old says that some of the rumours about her are quite bizarre. “People said that I paid (filmmaker) Aditya Chopra (of Yash Raj Films) to cast me,” laughs the actor, who was a public relations consultant with YRF before she was offered a three-film deal with them.
The first cousin of actor Priyanka Chopra, however, says that such rumours do not disturb her at all. “I have never been affected by any rumour — be it link-ups or anything, because they were all untrue.”
And what about recent reports suggesting that she has become very “demanding” and “high-headed”, after she rejected a few film offers citing date crunch? “Me and high-headed?” she breaks into a giggle. “I am not high-headed at all! I am a very easygoing and fun-loving person,” says Chopra, who has her hands full these days as she’s shooting for Daawat-E-Ishq (with Aditya Roy Kapoor), dubbing for Kill Dill (starring alongside Ranveer Singh) and promoting her upcoming release with Siddharth Malhotra, Hasee Toh Phasee. “I am shooting during the day, going for promotions in the evening and dubbing at night. I am completely exhausted,” says Chopra.
