Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt are turning a new leaf. While the former has vowed to quit smoking, the latter has started saying no to hard liquor.

Sallu was invited to be the guest of honour at a function on No-Tobacco Day (May 31). He turned it down, since he is a smoker and did not want to preach what he did not practise. But now he wants to kick the butt in right earnest.

A member of the Indian Dental Association, the committee that approached Salman, has been quoted as saying, “Salman has strongly expressed his desire to quit smoking.”

His manager tells HT City, “Salman is a strong-willed person and would do whatever he decides to do. He has started doing yoga as well as a daily round of breathing exercises that are proving effective.”

Sanju is avoiding not only hard drinks but also people who like their bottle. Ajay Devgan is one such person. Though the actors bonded well on the sets of Rohit Shetty’s All The Best, Sanjay stays away from his friend after 6 pm — that is when Ajay enjoys drinking — so that he can stick to his resolution. Instead, Sanjay spends his time swimming or cycling. A source close to him adds that he is doing a bit of yoga, too.
