It's tricky to play peacemaker between two warring friends, especially if they are SRK and Salman. Sanjay Dutt has apparently learnt his lesson the hard way.
Last night, Dutts threw a birthday bash to bring in his birthday. Sanjay Dutt turns 53 today. Over 100 guests were invited at a Pattaya nightspot.
A source close to Dutt told Mid Day. "Sanjay had booked the club. He had planned everything along with wife Maanayata, close friend Bunty Walia and manager Dharam Oberoi besides Rascals' co-producers Sanjay Ahluwalia and Vinay Choksey. A huge cake had been ordered, and local Thai food and spirits flowed."

Reportedly some of Dutt's close friends had specially flown in from Mumbai for his big day. His guest list included Rascals director David Dhawan and co-star Ajay Devgn apart from the Afra Tafri stars Suniel Shetty, Govinda, Mugdha Godse among others.
But clearly no sign of the earlier best friend Salman and newly-acquired "family" friend Shah Rukh.

What went wrong between Sanju-Salman?
The supposed spat broke out at Maanyata’s surprise birthday bash, held at Sanjay’s sister Namrata’s house at Pali Hill on July 21. Salman had apparently refused to address Maanyata as ‘bhabhi’ (sister-in-law), which didn’t go down too well with Sanjay. The Dabangg star was miffed that his pal Sanjay had refused to play the role of his father in the upcoming Bodyguard, but agreed to do a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s superhero project RA.One.
